I (Akhilesh Gupta) have been designing DevaNagari fonts since 1990. Most of my efforts in this field have focused on developing a clean typeface. The result is “Akhil HE,” which best represents my work as a type designer.

In 2005, I released Sugam-98 for Windows 98. Since then, I have released components of Sugam-2K for all newer versions of Windows, including Windows 11. The primary component of Sugam is a Unicode-compliant DevaNagari font called “Akhil HE.”

Information about me as a typographical engineer (or us as a small type-foundry)
at Microsoft Typography,
in Lists maintained by 'Luc Devroye' of McGill University.

We own many microsites, each with a few pages. The first site I registered was “softfonts.com,” which is/was dedicated to designing, developing, and selling Unicode-compliant fonts and software for using the DevaNagari script on computers. Our other related microsites include:

We have a site chashmewala.com dedicated to selling 'spectacles' and 'goggles'.

We own a brand called Sunagari that is registered in India.

I also taught programming with C & Java.

Developing Nagari (aka Devanagari) fonts and software isn't rewarding for us. We operate from a small town (Gondia, India).

In future, we will be uploading web-pages to 'DevaNagariFonts.com', instead of our legacy site 'softfonts.com'.
